Business ThinkTank No.40- Books and Toys

When you were a child and read the fantasy book, had you ever imagined that magical objects or fairy-tale character could be touchable. GoldieBlox is the initiator upon this thought.

The company provides a book that instructs girls many ways in constructing toys. This toy is designed to promote favor in engineering to girls. Together with a book, toy can encourage girls to play it with fun and passion to pursue engineering-education path. Of course, the book is not a normal one. It's written as a story telling about a girl who loves invent things. In this way, girls can enjoy reading and playing as well as ingraining their engineering-oriented mindset.

So, I believe we can copy and develop this excellent concept from this case to other areas. We may offer painting kit to let children draw high-profiled artist paintings in correspondence of storytelling in the book. To wrap it shortly, build passion, let it drive action. ;)

Business ThinkTank No.39- Bundle Sells

Selling each may cost you more than offering in bundles. And people sometimes don't want to waste time to buy a single item in a particular purpose.

I found the medicare website sets the product for cancer patients who face difficulty to keep their life in safe by using the aiding equipment. New patients usually have no awful experience what they are coping with, thereby lacking of necessary things to ail pains occurred.

The point of this business is to go for niche markets and provide groups of things to customers who hardly use them but become very essential when bad situation comes or special events approach.

Sets could be: medical box, adventurous tools, survival equipment, flood-fighter package, etc.

Yet not easy, you have to study lots to collect right items and encapsulate them into one chuck.

Business ThinkTank No.38- Up-To-You Donation

On our ways towards somewhere, we often meet street musicians conducting themselves amongst flowing stream of crowd. If content to performance, we just admire in mind and give a little money to them.

In the era of web2.0, audiences are centrally attentive to service offers. Thus, business changes and donations either.

From now on, we can choose one of the music we would like to listen to by putting pennies into one of the bottles which are labelled in front of it about genre of music. Like a jukebox ;)

Voila, the example is this.

Remember, let users create their own product. They will be happy and you too ;D

Frint in Japanese

When I experienced the Japan internship, I wrote the Japanese blog at http://ameblo.jp/piyawits/. Here I expressed and shared my what's-going-on matters to AIESEC members and those who were interested in.

Throughout the blog, you could see my vision upon Japanese society and notions of comparison between my original stereotype and the contrast. I pointed out difference and similarity I faced on culture, norms, language, and attitude.

I've got Japanese name from AIESEC help and feel warmer because of inner heart touching family-like care. Finally I decide to stay in my own country, even if I love this fresh-air and blue-sky country. Because I was ingrained the patriot soul someday I can do gratitude to my country.

Well, find me more via the blog as mentioned above,

And call me Furinto, if you see me in Japan.

;)

Ja mata ne.

Business ThinkTank No.37- Money Credit

Money doesn't only exist in formats of coins and banknotes, but also it's available in virtuality-money credit.

To receive money credits, user may have to invest upon somethings like hard exercise, long-distance running, in turn, get the points. The business should establish a platform to let users spend their credits earned. Auction stages, discounting stores, premium shops are the examples in this regard.

In summary, let users exchange their efforts with virtual money and an enterprise provide places to allow them to spend money credits. Victory. Both!

App- Alarm Clocks

The iPhone app is very pervasive. There are many sorts of app invented diversely. Alarm clock function seems to have less attractive to developers since provided as built-in app.By the way, if have creativity, distinction still exists.

The airline company released the alarm clock app with gift offering. If users guess correctly the city where voice is belling while alarming for a few minutes, they will get an air ticket to that city for free of charge.

In Japan, the alarm ring will be tailored corresponding to weather.

Even though the functionality is limited like alarm clock, let's attempts to get out limitation with Valuation.

Business ThinkTank No.36- Free Inventory Stocking Shop

Many business may sometimes cope up with high cost of inventory storing. The unsold products are burden to the company's balance sheet and difficult to manage. Is there a solution to eradicate this cost out from the business? Unfortunately, no.

However, according to this circumstance, if there are someone offering you to help sell your products but in exchange you have to let them take a picture of your products and input to their e-commerce websites. Your products will display on the websites for free and you get the nice images of the products. As such, you have more selling channels and no cost of distribution. Your partners doesn't need to bear inventory cost because of merely pictures. A thing you do is to wait orders from partners. Fasten inventory stream and increase turnover rate. Win-win scenario.

Business ThinkTank No.35- Street Show in the City

Often I extract the business idea from Springwise.com. One article narrated about the very creative tourism in New York. You can ride on the city tour bus and see the live dancers along the streets you pass. The stage is moved out to outdoor and invite audience to their show without reserving any seats or buy tickets. Just sit and see on the bus. The show will become more fantastic when happens at night time.

Think out the box, show off the hall. Street performance!

Business ThinkTank No.34- To-do-list for My Business

I run my click and mortar business for a year and a half. The shop sells musical instrument- in particular- guitar. I put forth the lessons studied from both school and real life to this business. I created the business cards that were printed at the back with the fundamental chord guitar.

I designed the board telling about the website URL and social network contact. Besides, launch continuous promotion and discount since it has opened. But not sufficient. I should do

- Acquire the multimedia presentation and place in front of the shop. In such way, I may buy one TV and DVD player, let it play the musical tutorials. Customers enjoy lessons, meanwhile increase possibility to sell goods and business brand.

- Produce freemiums like free download guitar chords which help the website obtain good pagerank scores effectively.

- Establish the bill board set up on the facade of the shop. The message should give the business persona in quick glance along with the web address.

- Product tag and indicator display like hot sale, recommend. Among products, customers have no time to consider all, why not tag the products which are high pop. Reduce time of searching and increase profitability.

- Hire musical teachers and let him/her give easy tutorials to customers.

- Establish platforms for young musician and if possible, build up music streets.

-Free beverage and candies.

Business ThinkTank No.33- Name Card after Meals

I once went to a nice and sweet Thai restaurant at Sathorn. The menus are quite delicious. Till the end of the meal I learnt many good practice from this restaurant considerably.

The restro shows the actual look of dessert, particularly-cake,  to sweet hungers.
In the sum-bill folder, there is a name card put inside. Calling customers come again.
All staff offers good manner and care.

Despite high price, I'm willing to pay for it. Worthily.

Font Archive

In a designer's life, I have to invent shapes, lines, layouts, styles and themes by combining to colors, shadows, textures, lighting, and all relevant composition. To express the message of the artwork, I can lend the power of aesthetic menus as mentioned above but I have the shortcut to make a job done. Seek a proper font!

Typography or  fonts are potential gadgetry arm for designers to construct an artwork storytelling an objective along with emotional felling. Each font owns particular characteristic that indicates habitual look. The designer's job is to discover one or a few of thousand fonts to put into the artwork. I thus choose and collect promising fonts to ensure I will have a great font matching to my artwork perfectly.

Here are my free font websites using:
Thai fonts: http://www.f0nt.com
Free fonts: http://www.fontsquirrel.com
Freefonts: http://www.dafont.com/
Web fonts: www.google.com/webfonts

Make your font collection and try, type, dont' be tired to take trails!

Business ThinkTank No.32- Free goods for good commitments

http://www.anthonberg.com/ is a source idea of this business Think Tank.

The shop gives chocolates to customers as freemiums, no any money paid!

What customers have to do is to put their promises to Facebook and try to succeed it!

Nice, generous, it really works.

Business ThinkTank No.31- Discounts directly sent to members

Fresh food, or expirable products are posing large lump of losses to our mankind's limited resources. Biodegradable food/beverage should be consumed at maximum in an ideal model. So means impossible? No, not that so. We can approach that goal by connecting stores and consumers each other and pursue the following business idea.

When foods or any products come close to expiration, stores will distribute information of those products together with discount alluring to customers. Members have got the message via the designated channels like iPhone app, or email and get enticed by super discounting price. They hurry up to the stores and put the nearly-expirational products into their carts. Perfect.
Win-win.

No waste, no loss, just betters and winners.

Business ThinkTank No.30 - Karaoke Loader

When we live in Karaoke chambers, what we do firstly is to select and create song lists. This step shorten our happy time around 15-30 mins. Suppose we have a platform like web services to form up our music series before entering the room, it would be better?
